Information on the SoftwarePassport/Armadillo v6.00 release follows.When will v6.00 be available?
We released v6.00 to beta on Tuesday, June 17. Our target date for the final release is Tuesday, July 8.

Is there a grace period discount?
Yes. Version 6.00 will be a free update for our customers who purchased (or upgraded) any version of the program since April 1, 2008.
What are the new features in v6.00?
New features for v6.00 include:
- Additional protections
- The ability to set up keys to expire a certain number of days after they are created
- A subscription licensing option that allows customers to use a program for a set number of minutes or uses each month until the subscription expires
- Expanded support for USB hardware locking, as you no longer need to go through Digital River or one of its subsidiaries to obtain keys for this protection option
- Network licensing options in the SoftwarePassport interface, to match the ones that previously were available only in the Armadillo Classic interface
- An option that allows no more than one running copy of a program to display a "key expired" message at a time, which prevents conflicts that can cause keys to be lost
- An option for preventing problems related to Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) on Windows Vista
Will there be another v5 release?
No. The last release for the v5 series is v5.42. We are providing v6.00 as a free update for our customers who recently purchased (or upgraded) any version of the program, as noted above.
